I like this BG too, looks better than the buildings.
I super love those little blue lights on his shoulder whatever those are, you did a good job with them.
Only thing I am not feeling is the lips.. but thats okay cause lips are hard as hell to render right.

i'd suggest cutting down a bit on the default texturing/texture brushes. it always gives a repetetive and unrealistic look to paintings, so I think if you'd be able to avoid that, you'd have much more real looking paintings. Also be careful not to drown perspective in textures and details. the armor is impressive looking, but it's difficult to see which way the different pieces bend at the moment
the use of colors makes this especially interesting to look at and i loooove the eyes! this is awesome.
